Special visit from Canada

Visitors from Canada…

We first “met” Sam and Naomi via video chat in March of 2022.  A GEM Canada staff member passed on our contact information to them as they were seeking advice on travelling in France with kids.  Having visited France as a family the year before, we met to share our stories and experiences.

Of course, knowing we were called to France as missionaries, we also had the privilege of sharing our heart for the French people and our God-given dream of moving to France in the next several years.

We reconnected once more in June of 2023 to update them on our progress and our moving plans.  During this virtual visit, despite not knowing us very well, they committed to financially support us and became one of our very first financial partners.

Via our newsletter updates and through email, Sam and Naomi kept in touch with us as we moved to and settled in France over the past 2 years.

In the fall of 2025 they reached out with some news… they were planning a trip to France and wanted to come to Aix-les-Bains to meet our family and get to know our little mission field in person.

A little over 2 weeks ago they arrived in Aix-les-Bains and we spent a weekend together as families.

It was so great to meet them face to face and get to know this family who have been faithfully serving, loving and praying for our family and the work God has called us to.

Over those 2 days we took them on a tour of our city, showed them our favourite spots, and introduced them to all of the things we love about Savoie food, life and culture.  But most importantly we had the privilege of sharing with them our God-inspired heart and vision for our neighbourhood, our city, and this region.

Remember our neighbours Peter & Brigitte, Romi and Cal, whom you’ve been praying for?  They got to see where they live.  They were able to visit the bakery where our muslim friend Mahomed works.  They got to see our courtyard where we hosted our last Fête des Voisins.

Thank you Sam & Naomi!  Your visit was a profound blessing and encouragement for us.

In fact, wouldn’t it be great if all of our prayer and financial partners could come and see, in person, what God is up to here in the Savoie?

With that said, you are all officially invited!  Please don’t all come at once, haha… but truly, if God would open the doors for you to come visit us in Aix-les-Bains, you would be most welcomed.

Until then, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your prayers and support.

With joy,
